Day 28 of Leading with God's Heart could set you free from perfectionism's paralysis. Drawing from Philippians 3:13 ("Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead"), Desiree Day explores how failure is not the opposite of success but often the pathway to it.

Throughout Scripture, God uses imperfect people and their mistakes to accomplish His perfect purposes. Moses failed as an Egyptian prince before leading Israel. Peter denied Jesus three times before leading the early church. Paul persecuted Christians before becoming the greatest apostle. God didn't wait until they were perfect—He redeemed their failures.

Yet many of us are paralyzed by fear of failure. We play it safe, stick to what we know, avoid risks that might end in disappointment. But this fear-based approach limits leadership impact and stunts spiritual growth. If you're not failing sometimes, you're probably not taking enough faith-inspired risks.

Godly leadership requires courage to fail forward—to take faith-inspired risks, learn from inevitable mistakes, and keep moving toward God's purposes even when the path includes detours and disappointments. To fall down and get back up. To see failure not as final but as formative, as necessary preparation rather than disqualification.

The shift action identifies one area where fear of failure has held you back and challenges you to take one concrete step forward, surrendering outcomes to God and committing to learn regardless of "success" or "failure." This episode gives permission to be imperfect while pursuing God's call.
