Welcome to Day 4 of Daniel Fast preparation—practice day! Today you're eating ONLY Daniel Fast foods, eliminating the last of your caffeine, and proving to yourself that you can absolutely do this.

In this episode, we dive into Psalm 28:7: "The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me." Notice the order—God is your strength FIRST, then your heart trusts Him, and THEN He helps you. It all starts with recognizing that God is your source of strength, not caffeine, not sugar, not comfort food.

Today is your training run before race day. Just like you wouldn't run a marathon without practice runs first, today you're building up your endurance and confidence. By the time you wake up on January 11th for Day 1 of the actual fast, you won't be nervous—you'll be READY.

We'll cover:

  • How to eliminate caffeine completely (you've already done most of the work!)
  • Cooking 2-3 Daniel Fast recipes and discovering they're actually delicious
  • Setting up your prayer space for the 21-day journey
  • Overcoming fear and doubt through scripture declaration
  • Why today proves you can make it through all 21 days

This episode is about building confidence—confidence in God's faithfulness and confidence in your ability to do what He's called you to do. The fact that you're here on Day 4 means you're already doing it. You've already proven your commitment and discipline.

  • Lentil soup
  • Sweet potato and black bean bowl
  • Quinoa with roasted vegetables

Mental & Spiritual Preparation: ✓ Spend 15-30 minutes in intentional prayer ✓ Read Daniel chapter 1 ✓ Journal about fears or concerns ✓ Declare scripture over yourself (Philippians 4:13, Isaiah 40:31, Psalm 28:7)

Your Daily Shift: Cook at least 2 Daniel Fast recipes today. As you eat, thank God for His strength and trust Him to sustain you through all 21 days.
